Alert! Do Not Click On Links!
What happens if you click a fraudulent link:
- The link could trigger a “drive-by download,” which installs malware such as keyloggers or remote access onto your device.
- You may be sent to a fake website that looks identical to a legitimate one, designed to trick you into entering your username, password, or credit card details.
- Once your financial information is compromised, attackers can make unauthorized transactions or steal your identity.
- Even without entering personal information, clicking the link can transmit your IP address, device type, and operating system to the scammer.
